High Praise for Antoni Ucerler, S.J.
Visiting associate professor Antoni Ucerler, S.J. has been featured in a glowing article on the Georgetown College web site. It notes his intensive course preparation for teaching East Asia: Texts & Contexts and his use of primary resources available through the Library of Congress for his History course, Maritime Empires: Early European Encounters. An excerpt:
Deemed a “walking encyclopedia” by students, Ucerler provided his classes a unique view of the East Asian history and culture. “It might sound cliché, but history does come alive if you know what you’re looking at, and are able to use your own two eyes and hands to touch history instead of looking at things on a computer screen,” Marsh said. “Professor Ucerler did us a great service this semester!”
