78th Japan-America Student Conference
On behalf of International Student Conferences , we are excited to share with students at Georgetown University the opportunity to participate in an academic and cross-cultural exchange program between the United States and Japan this upcoming summer.

The Japan-America Student Conference (JASC) is a student-led exchange program, initiated in 1934 by university students concerned by the breakdown of bilateral relations prior to the Second World War. Today, an equal number of students from the U.S. and Japan are competitively selected each year to spend one summer month together, studying and analyzing Japan-U.S. relations while visiting three diverse regions in the host country.
The 78th Japan-America Student Conference will occur from July 31st to August 22nd, 2026, going to the cities of San Francisco, Nashville, and Washington, D.C. JASC 78 will convene with the theme: “Resilience: Forging Mutual Trust from Sincere Dialogue.” Applications are OPEN until December 28th, 11:59 PM EST. Apply here !
Who Can Apply?
- Undergraduate & graduate university students (18+ years old at the time of the conference)
- All majors of study are accepted.
- As the official language of the Conference is English, no prior experience in Japanese is required.
