CHIN-3030: Advanced Readings in Chinese

Course Description: This reading and discussion course studies essays and short stories written in the Republic era before 1949 by some of the most renowned Chinese writers, such as Ba Jin, Lin Yutang and Wang Li. Through reading authentic material in Chinese, students will learn to appreciate Chinese literature and society, learn literary terms, improve vocabulary skills and cultivate analytical abilities.
