EALC-1124: East Asia: Texts and Contexts

Course Description: An examination of culture, literature, art, and history in East Asia through intensive reading and discussion of primary texts in translation and analysis of visual materials. Priority given to Chinese and Japanese majors. Required of majors in their first or second year. Writing intensive; satisfies ENGL-022. Conducted in English. Prerequisite: None.
