CHIN-3011: Topics in Chinese Media

Course description: This course is a structured introduction to the specific medium and format of Chinese news and other television programs, focusing on politics, economics, and culture. Students will acquire familiarity with specialized vocabulary, idioms, syntax, and stylistic conventions different from more colloquial forms of spoken and written Chinese. Not open to native Chinese speakers.
