CHIN-3053:  Traditions of Chinese Fiction

Course description: A reading and discussion class examining major themes in the Chinese narrative tradition from the late Zhou to the Qing dynasty, with particular emphasis on classical tales from the Tang period. All readings are in Classical or late imperial vernacular Chinese, with glosses. Prerequisite: CHIN-362 or equivalent.
