National Resource Center on Asian Studies

The Asian Studies Program received a NRC designation for East Asian Studies for the first time. The program strives to meet the growing demand of students to understand the diverse politics, societies and cultures of Asia. The DOE grant will strengthen graduate studies with advanced language offerings, and launch a Public Health in Asia Initiative that builds a network of scholars, policymakers and clinicians to address public health issues in the region.
