Coronavirus and 2020 Summer Study Abroad

As of January 28th, Georgetown University has issued a temporary moratorium on all university-sponsored and university-related travel for students, faculty and staff to China, effective immediately. 

Since it is difficult to predict how the coronavirus outbreak is going to unfold, students who would otherwise go abroad this summer are looking for intensive Chinese language programs in the US.

The Department of East Asian Languages and Cultures recommends two in particular (and in no particular order):

• Indiana Summer Flagship Chinese Institute
• Middlebury Summer Language School
