Updated CHIN proficiency test policy

Students taking CHIN-211 (Third Year Chinese I) in the fall should not take the Chinese proficiency test offered that semester unless there is a compelling reason.

CHIN-211 students who have to pass the proficiency test in the fall in order to study abroad in the spring need to submit to the Chinese language coordinator a letter or statement from their Dean.

Other CHIN-211 students who have compelling reasons to take the test must get recommendations from two Chinese teachers or from a language teacher and the language coordinator (Fei Ren, fr94@georgetown.edu) before registering for the test.
